About the Book

A donkey (jackass) and a monkey engage in a conversation. The donkey questions the monkey about the book he reads in comparison to the things his electronic device can do. Fed up with all the questioning, the monkey shows the book to the donkey who becomes engaged with the book and refuses to give it back. This hilarious story brings up the battle of electronics versus books and ends with a dialogue exchange from the donkey and the third character, a mouse, who is not afraid to tell like it is.

It’s a Book is a hilarious book with beautifully illustrated pages with earthy tones that change in size throughout the book to communicate the message or emotions the author tries to convey to readers. The book is relevant to children and education today because it shares an underlying message about not forgetting how important it is to teach our children to love books.
