Hello Blog Readers!
I just learned all about feed readers and I’m excited to share about what I took from the experience.
I was today years old when I learned that RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication and syndication means sharing. RSS Feed Readers are a simple way to keep up with feed from websites you use to stay informed or simply read for pleasure. You can subscribe to receive RSS feeds from these websites and be notified whenever something new is posted. That gives you more time to read rather than wasting time having to browse website to website for new posts daily.
If you are wondering how to get your hands on the best feed reader to serve your needs, please read a up on the most popular feed readers below:
Feedly is user friendly and allows you to set the default view you find most suitable. If you are new to RSS, you can use the explore tab to find feeds you may find interesting and would like to follow. Feedly also makes sharing easy.
Inoreader is a great app for people that range from no experience to advanced experience with feed readers. Some great features include the ability to search articles at no charge and add custom rules and filtering options to tailor your feed to your needs and interests. It’s available through its website, ios, and android. You can follow RSS Feeds, Blogs, Podcasts, Twitter searches, Facebook, and Email newsletters.
Newsblur is also available on the web, iPad, iPhone, and Android. A few of its many features include seeing content in its original version, sharing stories, and highlighting stories you like.
Feedreader Online provides helpful filtering to find content. Feedreader Online is a web based RSS feed aggregator that allows you to view your subscriptions. Feedreader Observe offers media alternatives and choices that lets you preview sites before subscribing.
Feeder is a place to keep up with everything you need. It has advanced filters and helps you stay informed. You can take it with you by downloading the app or download it to Google Chrome, Firefox, or Microsoft Edge.
Good News helps you find and share news from the sources you love. It offers multiple visual options such as TweetStream, PinBoard, and Comic Strip and allows you to organize your information by topics.
FlowReader allows you to combine blog feeds and social media feeds to stay current with information. You can add categories as you wish and open multiple articles in one tab.
I decided to opt for Inoreader because it is an RSS feeder that allows you to learn as you. It can be used by inexperienced users such as myself to someone with more experience. To create an account, follow the simple steps found here. You may begin by adding a feed using the featured collections provided, or enter the URL for your favorite sites. The links below are some of the websites, blogs, and vlogs I am currently following.
https://www.theclassroombookshelf.com/ The Classroom Bookshelf focuses modeliding the different ways teachers can use books of any genre for instructional purposes.
https://diversebooks.org/blog/ This is a nonprofit organization that advocated for changes in the publishing industry to promote diversity in books to honor all readers.
https://imaginationsoup.net/ This website shares book reviews by genre, age, and reading levels. Their focus is to help reluctant readers fall in love with books.
https://www.youtube.com/c/ColbySharp This reviewer was recommended by Dr. Lesesne and Dr. Perry. He creates vlogs reviewing books he enjoys reading to his students.
https://www.thechildrensbookreview.com/about This website was created to promote children’s literature and literacy. It shares reviews and booklists for children of all ages.
I really enjoyed sharing this information with you and hope you find it helpful. I am in no way an expert in the area, so feel free to share anything you would like to share or extend on in the comments section below.
Happy Reading! ❤️
